  • Back in 1981 and for 'good behaviour' after serving 8 years of a 10-year sentence, Ralph Power was released on 'mandatory supervision' (today's equivalent being 'statutory release'). He was serving time because he poured gasoline through the mail slot of a woman he was attempting to kill
  • While on 'mandatory supervision', Ralph Power beat Sheryl Gardner to death with a hammer; he also attempted to kill a second woman six days later
  • Ralph Power was an aspiring serial killer and sexual predator stalking 15 women at the time of Sheryl's murder
  • Ralph Power felt no remorse after confessing to the murder of Sheryl Gardner; instead he was disappointed that he had been caught and that his plan had been cut so short
